Description

Completely rebuilt engine sold as a standard exchange M96.24 3,2L for Porsche 986 Boxster 3.2L Phase 2, installed between 2002 and 2004. Horsepower : 260hp.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

• Crankshaft, blocks, oil pump inspection, and cylinder head testing

• Boring of the blocks and re-sleeving with 6 cast iron cylinders (Engine reliability improvement)

• Valve stem seals

• Valve grinding (valve side and then head side)

• Resurfacing of cylinder heads and engine blocks

• All engine gaskets and cylinder head gaskets

• Rod bearings, main bearings, and thrust washers

• Oil return pumps for sides 1-3 and 4-6

• All timing chains

• All chain guides

• The 3 chain tensioners

• Installation of a reinforced IMS bearing (Engine reliability improvement)

• The 6 sets of piston rings

• Head bolts, crankshaft cage bolts, rod bolts

• Cleaning and depollution of all components

OPTIONAL:

• Partitioned oil pan with increased oil capacity by +0.6L (prevents oil starvation in sharp turns and/or during sportier driving) (+590€)

• Forged pistons (better resistance against breakage during sporty driving) (+1590€)

• Forged connecting rods (better resistance against breakage during sporty driving) (+2490€)

WARRANTY:

• 6 months if shipped

• 1 year if installed in our workshops (+2290€ including the engine service)

The displayed price is valid for bore scored cylinders.
An additional cost will be applied if one or more parts are unusable such as the crankshaft (+1699€), engine block (+1399€), or a cylinder head (+799€). In the case of a standard exchange, a deposit of 3500€ is to be added to the displayed price. This deposit is fully or partially refunded (depending on the damage observed upon opening it) once the old engine is received and inspected in our workshops. For a “matching number” engine restoration, the price is calculated directly after opening the engine to be restored, under the same pricing conditions. If the old engine is not returned (either intentionally or because it doesn’t exist), the deposit is retained in full.
